Our History
R&R Printing was founded in 1952 by Shelton Rancier and a business partner by the name of Rankin. Shelton bought out his partner one year later and continued the operation of the company until 1994. The original name was R&R Reproduction and they focused on printing blueprints and other related services for the architect, engineering and oil industries. Commercial printing was added in the 1960's when an "oil bust" hit the West Texas area and the construction and oil business was down.Phil Rancier joined the firm in 1980 and worked with his father until Shelton's retirement. Abilene Reproduction, founded in 1929, was purchased by the Phil Rancier Family in 1998 and operated in a separate location until June 2007, when it was moved to 825 Hickory Street in Abilene. R&R moved to this location back in 1976.
Carolyn Rancier started her career working in her Dad’s business. After 29 years of service in the public education field, Carolyn returned to the business world in 2007. She has been successfully managing the Abilene Reproduction side of the company since then.
